The book "Values and gender equality in family: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Turkey" was published
This work published with financial support from the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO is the logical conclusion of the sub-regional project "Values and gender equality in family: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Türkiye". The project is aimed at protecting the interests of women by eliminating gender stereotypes, widespread in rural, traditional and religious societies. It is directed at the implementation of dialogue between the above countries with the aim of a constructive exchange of knowledge and ideas on the issue, and it strives to show that dialogue is not only a successful tool for building bridges between countries, societies, cultures and ethnic groups, but it is also productive within a family.
The project, along with a comprehensive analysis of scientific-philosophical, ethical and sociological literature, also involved a comparative methodological study. The methodology of gender studies included both the analysis of social media to compare citizens' opinions on the values of equality in the family and the conduct of an expert survey on the interested concepts and the use of this knowledge in the research works of scientists. Considering the changes in methodological and research approaches to the problem of the biology of gender and family in society, it is concluded that these changes encourage rethinking of ethical aspects and a shift to the ethics of discourse, the basis of which is a consensus that maintains a balance between the values of equality and national culture.
