Jamalov Gabil Khurshud oglu has graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Azerbaijan State University in 1971-1976 as an orientalist-iranist. After completing his education, he worked in various positions.
Since 1980, G. Jamalov has been working at ANAS. Currently, he is deputy director for general affairs of the Institute of Philosophy.
Gabil Jamalov is the co-author of 70 articles and co-author of 3 monographs.
His work "Persian manuscripts in XIX century in Tsarist Russia" (in Persian) and "Iranian Foreign Policy in Occupation of Azerbaijanis by Tsarist Russia" (in Turkish) and other articles were published in Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey. He is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party.
