An international conference dedicated to the World Philosophy Day was held
An international conference on “Universal values and problems of development of national philosophy” dedicated to The Philosophy Day and the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS.
Before the conference, the conference participants visited the grave of great leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor.
Along with Azerbaijani scientists, scientists and specialists from the United States and Turkey participated in the conference.
Opening the conference, General Director of the Institute, PhD in Philosophy, professor Ilham Mammadzade congratulated the conference participants on the occasion of the Philosophy Day and gave the floor to academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva.
Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva congratulated the conference participants on the occasion of the Philosophy Day and wished the scientists of the Institute success in their scientific activities, talking about the importance and benefits of the conference, which is traditionally held every year.
Then Professor Ilham Mammadzade made a speech on “Modern philosophy problems and future prospects” and expressed his views on the main priorities of modern Azerbaijani philosophy. At the same time, professor I. Mammadzade shared his thoughts on the past and future of philosophy, discussing the connections and research between the philosophy of interdisciplinary studies, philosophy and history, philosophy and politics, philosophy and consciousness, experience, philosophy and culture.
The following speakers also made presentations at the international conference: Executive Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, PhD in Historical Sciences Eynulla Madatli “Philosophy of History and History of Philosophy”, Professor at Hofstra University in the USA Elyor Karimov “The concept of the perfect man in modern national philosophy”, corresponding Member of ANAS, PhD in Philosophy, professor Konul Bunyadzade “Challenges of the New Era”, Head of Department of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, PhD in Philosophy , Fuzuli Gurbanov “Philosopher and philosophy in modern Azerbaijan: epistemological-communicative aspect”, Head of Department of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Doctor of Philosophy, associate professor Gunel Melikli “Universal human values in the political strategy of President Ilham Aliyev.”
Then Karam Karabulut, a professor at the Ataturk University in Turkey, who took part in the conference online, also shared his thoughts on this topic with the conference participants.
