The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS held an online meeting with colleagues from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS held an online meeting with the director and scientific staff of the Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further joint scientific activities within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the organizations. The directors of the Institutes prof. I.Mammadzada and prof. E.Chengelova, as well as prof. B.Todorova, assoc.prof. S.Hasanova, assoc.prof. Z.Aliyeva, assoc.prof. A.Nakova, PhD. S.Dadashova, PhD. Z.Rashidov.
Prof. I. Mammadzada informed the collegues about the main directions of scientific research of the institute and its personnel potential, emphasizing the importance of building international relations in the mutual enrichment of scientific activities. The professor paid particular attention to the priority of studying methodological foundations in sociological and philosophical research and new trends in their application. Prof. E.Chengelova also highlighted the most relevant issues of sociology and philosophy in modern Bulgaria, pointing to topics at the junction with Azerbaijani science.
There has been discussed a number of issues at the meeting :
- AI philosophy and philosophy as an aspect of cognitive sciences
- Problems of interdisciplinary research
- On the question of the image of the future of philosophy and philosophy of the future
- Philosophy of sociology (mutual influence of sociology and philosophy)
- History of philosophy in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria (how philosophy began in these countries and how it develops today)
- Comparative analysis of religious philosophy and philosophy of religion (study of Islamic religion in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria).
At the end of the online meeting, the parties decided to identify common scientific directions, conduct joint research activities and implement projects with the participation of scientists and specialists in philosophy and sociology.
