Political heritage of Heydar Aliyev and philosophy of Azerbaijanism

The Department was established by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated January 18, 2017 No. 1/16 and began its activities by the order of the Institute of Philosophy dated May 01, 2017 No. 137. The Department studies the political heritage of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the philosophy of Azerbaijanism. The research areas of the department are as follows:

The study of the political heritage of the Heydar Aliyev as a whole, especially the study of the theoretical ideas put forward in Heydar Aliyev's reports, speeches, addresses, interviews, and their involvement in scientific and philosophical research;

Comprehensive research of the essence, formation and application of the philosophy of Azerbaijanism in the practice of statehood and its coverage in scientific, popular publications, and the press;

Involvement of the leading direction and role of the ideology of Azerbaijanism in the multifaceted activity of Heydar Aliyev as both the founder and ideologist of independent Azerbaijani statehood in philosophical analysis from various aspects;

Researching the place and role of Heydar Aliyev's personality and activities in the formation of Azerbaijani society as a unified, indivisible and strong society and presenting it to the public in scientific books and articles;

Scientific and philosophical substantiation of the fact that the domestic and foreign policy successfully and creatively implemented by President Ilham Aliyev stems from the rich and inexhaustible heritage of Heydar Aliyev and has been successfully tested in the practice of modern statehood.
