An international conference on "From Nizami to Navoi: the wires that connect the times" was heldAn online international scientific-practical conference on "From Nizami to Navoi: the wires that connect the times" was held in Moscow on February 9.
The conference was organized by the Institute of Asian and African Countries , Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov with the support of the embassies of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's office in Russia.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu spoke about the importance of holding such conferences, noting that there are such outstanding personalities in history, despite the passage of centuries, they unite peoples, cultures and countries with their creativity. The ambassador noted that such personalities create an atmosphere of mutual understanding in mankind, further enrichment of different cultures and great hope for the future. Nizami's personality and creativity serve to preserve moral values.
The conference was also attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov, Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University Alexei Maslov, Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of Eurasian Peoples - First Deputy Secretary General Svetlana Smirnova, President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kidirali, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Gulchekhra Rikshiyeva, Dean of the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan Alisher Muminov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences Isa Habibbayli and others spoke. The speakers spoke about the life and work of Nizami and Navai, emphasizing the challenges addressed to humanity in their works.
At the first session, the Executive Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences Eynulla Madatli spoke on "Attitude to the legacy of Nizami Ganjavi in Iran: claims and truths."
Then the conference continued its work by sections.
